Hey Eric, I love your tails, I recently did a photoshoot for a book by Twig the Fairy, and in it she used on of your tails for her mermaid, and I've been in love with them ever since. I was wondering if you needed a male to model them for you? Can't afford one, so I thought I'd see if you needed a model!

It is always nice to hear positive feedback from my clients and models who get the chance to use one of my products. This is why I love my job. Where are you located? We are always looking to shoot new models for our website and other promotional opportunities that come along. There is a good possibility that we could arrange something for you!

Thanks for the question! To answer your question regarding color options, all of our color choices for our spandex mermaid tail design are located on our website. Our latex mermaid tail color options are also located on our website. For your friend, I would recommend something that did not wash her skin tone out, something bright, teal or aqua color. As for yourself, I would suggest a metallic green or gold. Thanks again for your post!

ReplyDeleteThanks for your question. Yes, we do offer external fins for your mermaid or merman tail. We have the dorsal and pectoral fins available as a set. The set of fins is an additional $100. We are currently creating that option on our online store. However, you may contact me @ mertailor@yahoo.com for further payment information.

hey eric, back to my quistion about the colors :) my friend and i wanted to get the color (goldfish) would this clash with are skin tone we would try to get the same tails for the purpose of the theme calender. here is a quick look. http://www.wix.com/mermaidndk/formertailoronly

ReplyDeleteHey Eric, Sorry that this is more of a personal question but, I was just wondering about a few things that you might have some inside knowledge about. I live in California and ever since I was 5 (Now going onto 18 in June) I have wanted to become a mermaid model(since Swimming is my life even in winter and I'm too short to be a regular model). My parents thought it was a phase but, as it never went away, they have become much less supportive about it.
ReplyDeleteI suppose what I'm trying to ask is: is it pointless to try or does mermaid modeling make a good job or side job to strive for?
P.S. I am currentally saving up for one of your tails. :) Without parents support and a regular job though, I'm sort of on my own with it but, my Nan(grandma's) going to be helping me sell stuff. So, Hopefully this July or August!

I think it is great that you want to pursue a career in "mermaid modeling". It's not your typical everyday job. It takes time and patience to get where you want. I started off ten years ago and began Mertailor LLC 5 years ago. Thankfully it has been a very successful 5 years for me and my company.
When I first opened the doors, I was mainly focused on crating and selling mermaid tails. The past two years, Mertailor is also focused on the entertainment and modeling world.
My advice to you is to live your dreams and don't give up. Keep on trying. If you fall, bring yourself right back up. If you want something bad enough, you can have it!

ReplyDeleteHello, I am very very interested and more than likely to be in the future buying the latex tail. It will be one of my dreams that will finally come true- I was wondering if when I order the Latex tail, if you could make the tail in a beautiful aquamarine color- maybe with some light silver sprays around it (my inspiration here is from the movie "Aquamarine") Could you do that when I order it? and I thought that you could spray the tail a certain way to make it resemble the Aquamarine tail- dark colors at top with it gradually getting lighter- I understand this is a lot of work, but I'm not a mermaid tail expert like you are, so I don't know how well or fast you could do this. Haha, so thankyou so much for your time!
ReplyDeleteHello, this is the same person, Aquamarine7, and I found a tail you made that would be almost perfect!!! It is in the video, "Mermaid Tails Created by Mertailor.com" on Youtube! It is at the exact 50 sec mark.. It is a beautiful light blue with some silver shimmer on it, and it has a ariel tail!!! Perfect!!! This would be the Latex tail I want later if you couldn't do what I noted above.

ReplyDeleteHey Eric, i absolutely love your tails and will buy them, but my problem is that i have heard lots and i mean LOTS about wrong sizes, colors and selling different tails then the ones advertised, also even as amazing as they are and although there are specials i still feel that they are priced too high and that you would get tons more business if you dropped the prices, like maybe normal 400 latex 1500 for silicone i know it's lots to ask but in my opinion it would in the long run help you out alot. btw i think your tails are absolutely stunning.[: {: {; [;

Hi Eric I'm only 11 years old and my birthday is coming up on August 7th and I have been looking for a mermaid tail since I was 8 so I asked my mom a long time ago and she said it was too expensive so I started raising the money myself but I haven't gotten very far so when I found your website I was obsessed with you tails and I must say they are gorgeous. when I started showing people your website, people started making fun of me for wanting a tail but I didn't let that tear my confidence down. ReplyDeleteI'm a very small size wise a lot of times I can wear a larger kids or very small womens sizes, my waist is about 25"-28" and I'm 5ft tall. What size tail would you suggest? would I be able to buy a children's one and it fit properly?
